I’m Back

My Kobo Bookstore

Alright, so now that I’m back, I’m hoping that I can balance life and my writing career, as unlikely as that seems to be at the moment. Drama aside, I have resumed work on The Golden Record, meaning Chapter 9 is now started. While I’ve been gone, I had a recurring dream that has since turned into an obtrusive thought, so that’s probably going to be turned into a story, though I’m not sure if I’ll publish it on Kobo or just upload it to my Fur Affinity page. Either way, it’ll be something low-effort and free (or no more than a dollar, but that’ll probably only exist the same way a tip jar does). In non-writing areas, the program I use to go down virtual rabbit holes and “build” old computers, 86Box, has now gotten the capability to emulate a dial-up connection!

Since I have a gut feeling that it’s going to be in some people’s minds, no, I’m not getting paid to link the program’s website. I just genuinely like to build old computers, and that’s the way I go about it, since I don’t have the space or money for the actual hardware. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll settle for virtual, not to mention that I can just have all of that stuff on my laptop… for better or worse. Also, the camera I’ve been using for my photography, something that looks like an older Sony model with a blue case, has kicked the bucket. Honestly, I expected about as much, so I’ll be replacing that on my next trip to the Ollie’s with something that actually has a branding on it.

Earlier, I mentioned that I’m starting back on The Golden Record, but for a while, I'm expecting progress to be on the slow side while I get some long-overdue cleaning done, throw out some older-than-me garbage furniture (trust me, it’s not worth saving, I’ve asked). Nothing major, just everyone using my room for a storage room.
